2016 Great Charity Challenge Presented by Fidelity Investments® Calling Local Business Community to Join In on Fundraising Efforts
For Immediate Release
Wellington, FL – January 7, 2016 – Heading into its seventh annual event, the Great Charity Challenge, presented by Fidelity Investments® (GCC), will be returning to Wellington during the 2016 Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) on Saturday, February 6. The team competition, held each year at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center (PBIEC), has distributed more than $7.5 million to over 150 non-profits in Palm Beach County over the last six years.
Founded in 2010 by Equestrian Sport Productions CEO Mark Bellissimo and his daughter Paige, the Great Charity Challenge has seen the equestrian and local business community take charitable giving to a new level through their love of horses. The GCC event donates 100% of its proceeds to Palm Beach County charities, impacting many thousands of lives, and it is all done through a one-of-a-kind equestrian competition.

New corporate sponsorships starting as low as $500 are giving local businesses the opportunity to participate in this countywide effort, while gaining exposure with the equestrian crowd. “By adding these entry-level options, everyone is able to do their part in helping these non-profits. Knowing that you are helping close to 40 charities at once is something that is unique!” commented Paige Bellissimo, co-founder of the event. A full overview of sponsorship opportunities can be found at: http://gcc.coth.com/page/how-to-get-involved.
“We are currently on target to reach our original $1.5 million goal and hope to exceed it by inviting the local business community to join us,” said Mark Bellissimo, Founder of the GCC. “Our goal is to have distributed $10 million in Palm Beach County by 2017.”
