Jordan Coyle and Essenar Crixus Cruise to the Top of the $50,000 Equiline Holiday Finale Grand Prix to Conclude the ESP Holiday Series at PBIEC

Wellington, FL – January 6, 2020 – The 2019 ESP Holiday Finale concluded this Sunday with the $50,000 Equiline Holiday Finale Grand Prix in the International Arena. Jordan Coyle of Ireland flew through the jump-off timers in 40.381 seconds to secure the win with Elan Farm’s Essenar Crixus, while Wilhelm Genn of Lebanon, OH and Van Gogh, owned by Wilhelm & Patty Genn, came in a close second after completing the jump-off in 40.76 seconds. Roberto Teran Tafur of Colombia and his Dena-Sienne rounded out the podium with a time of 39.47 seconds and four faults.

“He [Essenar Crixus] just turned 10. I’ve had him for about 5 months, so I’m still getting to know him, but he should be able to do some bigger classes and be very competitive. He’s definitely fast enough,” Coyle shared. “For such a big horse, he’s actually quite easy to ride.”

Course designer Anthony D’Ambrosio welcomed 45 entries to the first round, with only four returning for the jump-off. “I was lucky I was last to go, so I got to watch everyone. I actually thought I was a lot faster than Wilhelm [Genn], so I slowed down to the last jump which nearly caught me. It was a lot closer than I thought. I’m just delighted,” Coyle concluded.

Thursday’s $10,000 Equiline Open Stake also saw Jordan Coyle of Ireland win both the blue and red ribbon aboard Elan Farm’s Picador after stopping the jump-off timers at 33.331 seconds and Elan Farm’s Essenar Crixus with a time of 33.531 seconds, respectively. Alberto Michan of Israel claimed third place after a 35.118-second round aboard Louisiana 7 for Wolver Hollow.

The $5,000 EnviroEquine & PET 1.35m Stake was championed by Ilan Bluman of Colombia and Viconte de La Cour after they completed the jump-off in 37.364 seconds. Ali Wolff of New Albany, OH and Caya, owned by Ali & John Wolff, claimed second place with a jump-off time of 37.483 seconds, while Connor O’Regan of Upperville, VA piloted Dynomite Ranch, LLC’s entry, Mendini DR, to a third-place finish after completing the short course in 38.554 seconds.

Devon Mac Neil of Wellington, FL rode her entry, Cajo to top honors in the $2,500 Equiline High Junior/Amateur Owner Jumper class after stopping the jump-off timers at 44.889 seconds. Natalie Thornell of Loveland, OH completed the first round in 81.008 seconds and two faults with Snow White, owned by Loveland Equine Investments, to clinch second place, while Taylor St. Jacques of Glen Allen, VA rounded out the top three with a time of 77.633 seconds and five faults riding her Qantar des Etisses.

 

Laura Faulkner of South Salem, NY rode her Que Pasa 4 claimed the $2,500 Equiline Low Amateur Owner Jumper Classic after their jump-off time of 33.934 seconds. Brooke Kennedy of Alexandria, VA piloted JV-JV, LLC’s Cameron to a second-place finish with a time of 36.277 seconds, while Sarah Warden of Saint Augustine, FL claimed third with her Esquina van Klapscheut after completing the short course in 32.456 seconds and four faults.

Ana Sofia Rodriguez of Wellington, FL and VDL Empire, owned by Juan Andres Rodriguez Silva dominated in the $2,500 Equiline Medium Junior/Amateur Owner Jumper Classic after their 45.361-second jump-off. Elisa Uribe of Colombia and her own entry, Havana de La Lande finished second with a time of 45.62 seconds. Paige Coles of Wellington, FL claimed third with her Alcazar Mail after completing the short course in 49.869 seconds.

 

Linda Lagmeier of East Granby, CT claimed the blue ribbon in the Omega Alpha Add Back Jumper class after stopping the jump-off timers at 40.841 seconds with Bridget Alegro. The second and third ribbons were claimed by Deborah Perkins of Wellington, FL after she piloted her entry Vigo Massuere through the course in 76.612 seconds, and after her second mount Prince Garbo completed the course in 78.16 seconds.

 

Filippo Pignatti of Italy and Take the High Road, LLC’s Ideaal Es bested the field in Thursday’s 1.25m Semican Jumper class after their 71.247-second jump-off. With a time of 71.561 seconds was Bernardo Pereira of Brazil with Brymm de Kergane, owned by Fernanda Dib Gabriel, while Savannah Talcott of Wildwood, MO claimed third with Equinimity LLC’s Fabian D after completing the course in 72.525 seconds.

 

Hannah Hoch of Whitefish Bay, WI rode Carlson 83, owned by Hannah Hoch LLC, to top honors in the WIHS Jumper Phase presented by Score At The Top after receiving a score of 88. Hensley Humphries of Austin, TX obtained a score of 84 with her Imaginator to clinch second place, while Natalie Jayne of Elgin, IL rounded out the top three with a score of 82.5 riding Eretto for Stal Hendrix.

 

Erika Thornell of Loveland, OH claimed the blue ribbon in Sunday’s $1,500 Child Jumper Classic presented by Score at The Top after stopping the jump-off timers at 41.627 seconds aboard Calamera owned by Loveland Equine Investments. The second-place ribbon was claimed by Jessica Robson of Dallas, TX aboard her own Guetta, completing the second round in 44.61. Claudette Yarbrough of Rumson, NJ rounded out the top three after she piloted her entry Lyla through the jump-off course in 35.36 seconds with four faults.

Stephanie King of St. Augstine, FL secured top honors in Sunday’s $1,500 Adult Jumper Classic presented by Score at The Top aboard her mount Co-Starr with a jump-off time of 36.547 seconds. Anne Meyer of Plymouth, MN followed captured second place atop her own Stella Luna, completing the short course in 37.378 seconds, while Lexi Selldorff and her entry Cortos captured followed closely with a jump-off time of 37.387.

Friday’s Joe DiMaggio Children’s Health Specialty Center $5,000 USHJA National Hunter Derby PRO saw Hannah Isop of Pawling, NY and Heidi Tummel’s Sincerely take top honors after obtaining a final score of 185. Second place was awarded to Molly Sewell of Wellington, FL and Meridian, owned by Lissa Bachner, after receiving a final score of 181.5, while Victoria Colvin of Loxahatchee, FL and Isabella Watson’s Kahlua claimed third with a final score of 180.

Also on Friday, the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Health Specialty Center $5,000 USHJA National Hunter Derby JR/AM took place in the E.R. Mische Grand Hunter Arena.Tracy Scheriff-Muser of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and Melissa Burns’ Bode Well received top honors for their efforts, obtaining a total score of 174.5. Second place was awarded to Meghan Knapic of Smithtown, NY after she piloted Mindset, owned by First Blue LLC, to a final score of 171.5, while Tess Lenihan of Chester, VT secured third place aboard her Becoming after receiving a final score of 171.

The WIHS Hunter Phase saw Hensley Humphries of Austin, TX and her Imaginator take the blue rosette after obtaining a score of 89, while Natalie Jayne of Elgin, IL placed second with a score of 88 aboard Eretto, owned by Stal Hendrix. Riley Hogan of Warrenton, VA and Donald Stewart’s Podcast rounded out the top three after receiving a score of 87.

 

Amy Momrow of Wellington, FL rode Monty Kelly’s Steele Jordan to champion honors in the Triple Crown Nutrition Green Hunter 3’ division, while Penny Lombardo of Loxahatchee, FL piloted Czech Ride for Crissy Whetstone to reserve honors.

Stella Propp of New York, NY captured champion honors with Aquitaine Equine’s entry Inquisitive in the #1 Education Place Small Junior Hunter 3’6” division, while Eliza Kimball of New York, NY piloted her Vistano to reserve champion in the division.

 

Henry Healy of Cincinnati, OH was crowned champion in the #1 Education Place Large Junior Hunter 3’6” division aboard Patton owned by Blue Mountain, LLC. Sam Walker of Nobleton, ON secured reserve champion atop Wendy Valdes’ entry Class Act.

 

The Vita Flex Amateur Owner Hunter 3’6” 18-35 division saw Kaitlin Porath of Wellington, FL win the champion ribbon her Breaux, while Kelsey Cruciotti of Bluffdale, UT captured reserve champion with Queen Celeste, owned by Pony Lane Farm.

Alexandra Breyer of Setauket, NY earned champion honors in the Pure Wellness Adult Amateur Hunter 36-49 division aboard New England Farm’s Fellow Traveler, LLC, while Mary Kathryn Brown of Fayetteville, AR claimed reserve champion atop Clear Sailing owned by MMK Equestrian LLC.

The Dover Saddlery Large Pony Hunter division crowned Tessa Downey of Houston, TX champion aboard Upside owned by Rivers Edge. Reserve champion honors were claimed by Clara Propp of New York, NY atop Aquitaine Equine’s entry News Day.

Vivian Golden of Reading, PA captured champion honors in the Dover Saddlery Medium Pony Hunter division riding Renaud Farm, LLC’s Hidden Springs Waltz, while Alexa Lignelli of New York, NY secured reserve champion aboard her own Iapprove.

 

The combined Small/Medium Green Pony Hunter division awarded Amira Kettaneh of Hollis, NH and Melissa Burns’ Woldberg’s Bochelli champion honors, while Tessa Downey of Houston, TX rode Cambridge owned by Corinne Bevis to reserve champion.
