Kyle Dewar and Gomez Van De Withoeye Post Win in $25,000 Pilates Rock Grand Prix

Wellington, FL – November 1, 2017- Competition concluded at Palm Beach International Equestrian Center (PBIEC) with a win for Kyle Dewar of Oconomowoc, WI, and Katherine Dewar’s Gomez Van De Withoeye in the $25,000 Pilates Rock Grand Prix during the third week of the ESP Fall Series. The pair raced to win after a jump-off time of 43.146 seconds. Second place was captured by Gianni Gabrielli of Wellington, FL, piloting Cashmir Z, owned by Gabrielli, stopping jump-off timers in 43.996 seconds. Third place was also awarded to Dewar, this time aboard his own Clever Van De Helle, after completing their fast track round in 42.13 seconds and with four added faults.

The class saw 19 entries contest the course designed by Hector Loyola of Wellington, FL, who also designed the $10,000 TackNRider Welcome Stake earlier in the week. The class was the first Grand Prix hosted during the 2017 ESP Fall Series.

The $10,000 TackNRider Stakes Class saw David Blake of Parkland, FL, and Goldbreaker, owned by Gochman Sport Horses LLC, finish atop the class as the fastest clear-round combination to contest the jump-off, on 42.309 seconds. Gianna Gabrielli of Wellington, FL, and Dimodo, owned by Emanuel Andrade, collected second place after completing the short course in 46.155 seconds. Joaquim Malta De Abreu of Wellington, FL, and Arino Du Rouet, finished in third place after stopping the timers in 46.371 seconds.

The Child/Adult Jumper Classic was topped by Jennie Edwards of Jacksonville, FL, and her own LB Carwyn, after a speedy jump-off round of 40.93 seconds. Noa Diener of Indian Creek Village, FL, captured the second-place spot aboard Pippa, owned by Deborah Perkins, after a jump-off time of 41.668 seconds. Third place was awarded to Taje Warrick of Wellington, FL, and E. Umomia, ending their short-course trip in 42.744 seconds.

The Marshall & Sterling Child/Adult Jumper Classic saw a victory for Doris Neyra of Miami Beach, FL and Vodka Cruiser, owned by Castlewood Farm and Alan Korotkin, after completing the short course in 42.008 seconds with eight faults. Second place saw a win for Nicole Yamin of Davie, FL, and Fuscia Diamond, owned by Nikki’s Stable LLC. Third place went to Taje Warrick of Wellington, FL, and E. Umomia, owned by Warrick.

David Blake and Goldbreaker

The $1,500 Low Child/Adult Jumper Classic saw Jill Sisson of Wellington, FL, and her own Zurich ride to top honors in the class after finishing their jump-off track in 46.244 seconds. Eva Harris of Wellington, FL, and Harkopp Farm’s Showtime De Pleville finished in second place in the jump-off after dropping a single rail and stopping the timers in 41.487 seconds. Martina Larruri of Key Biscayne, FL, and Cristyan Serna’s Chantilly took third place after adding nine faults to their jump-off time of 51.385 seconds.

Robyn Hannigan of Celebration, FL, and her own Copacabana were victorious in the $2,500 Low Junior/Amateur Owner Jumper Classic, stopping jump-off timers in 43.936 seconds. Second-place was captured by Tanner Korotkin of Wellington, FL, and Eagle Valley Partners, LLC’s Coconut, after completing the track in 44.58 seconds. Third place went to Paige Coles of Boca Raton, FL, and her own Chicago 88, after a jump-off time of 44.64 seconds.

The Small Pony Hunter Division was topped by Lauren Gee of Valdosta, GA, and Sweet Oak Farm’s Grand Slam as the pair took divisional honors while Cecilia Perry of North Venice, FL, and Fielding Stichman’s Sparkle finished with reserve champion honors.

The Modified Hunter Division saw Jensen Wedeles of Alva, FL, and her own L’Esprit finish as the division champions, while Jane Herman took reserve aboard As You Wish, owned by Herman.

The Pilates Rocks Low Child/Adult Hunter Division saw Linda Roukis of Jupiter, FL, and her own Amandolo take top divisional honors, while Ella Bostwick of Wellington, FL, and True Grit, owned by Shari O’Halloran, took reserve champion.

The Equitation Adult Amateur Division saw Zachary Gellman of Deray Beach, FL, take top honors aboard Waterfall Z, owned by Gellman ahead of Misty Pleiness of Ada, MI, and her own Valor Z, who captured reserve champion.
